Analyse de la diversité génétique chez l'abricotier (Prunus armeniaca L.) à l'aide de marqueurs microsatellites

Abstract : The present work consisted in studying the apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) genetic diversity and phylogenetic structure through SSRs markers fingerprinting. 25 microsatellite markers, selected to cover the Prunus reference map, were used to genotype 580 apricot accessions. These accessions, and 673 previously genotyped accessions, were gathered to constitute a set of 1253 apricot genetic profiles, most of them coming from Europe, Maghreb, North America, Central Asia and East Asia. Out of the identification of the related accessions, the whole dataset has been analyzed with GENETIX and STRUCTURE softwares. An evident phylogenetic structure has been shown from the origin center probably localized in Central Asia. At least, 3 major diversification phylum have been identified dedicated to Eastern Asia, Mediterranean basin and Central Europe. In addition a comparative analysis of both local cultivars and improved cultivars by breeding has been initiated. This comparison emphasized a lack of genetic diversity among the hybrid varieties, which could be reduced by the use of Asiatic varieties in the hybridization programs.
