La prévention de la dépression anténatale

Abstract : The occurrence of antenatal depression is a frequent situation because it affects more than one in ten women. This makes this condition a real public health concern. Objective. The aim of our study is whether screening tools available to health professionals (midwifes and obstetricians) are sufficiently adapted and used wisely. Methods. The study was conducted through a qualitative and multicenter questionnaire for health professionals. Results and conclusion. The maintenance of the 4th month seems to be a key time to implement early prevention of antenatal depression. The use of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) could help anticipate problems and find solutions earlier.
