Les usages sociaux des activités aquatiques et nautiques dans le premier degré

Abstract : This study analyzes from the declared practices of primary school teachers the role of somatic culture, social provisions interiorized, in selecting contents in French Physical Education specifically the choice of aquatic and nautical activities. The results show that many factors are involved in the curricular activity of teachers. The somatic culture can positively influence the sports culture of schoolchildren because the social provisions which characterize this culture are not fixed. But, changing practices requires personal investment of teachers and a reflexive attitude about their practices. In responding to the need to train them to improve their knowledge of educational issues and specific knowledge of aquatic and nautical activities and ensuring favorable conditions to implementation of pedagogical situations, contextualization of French Physical Education in natural environment seems to intensify in the municipality of Pointe-à-Pitre.
