Validation d'un test de langage élaboré auprès de sujets cérébrolésés âgés de 40 à 59 ans

Abstract : Many neurological disorders can lead to lexico-semantic, syntactic or pragmatic speech disorders. Although many tools allow these areas to be explored, complex or sophisticated language analysis is an area in which we still lack specific standardized and validated tests. However, subjects having developed language disorders find themselves hampered in their expression and everyday understanding, whilst the conventional aphasiology tests fail to objectify these difficulties. It is therefore primordial, in order to better adapt therapy, to propose a specific standardized and validated evaluation. It is in this context that this protocol evaluating complex language was created. To date, it has been calibrated with 120 subjects aged 20 to 39 years old and 40 to 59 years old and validated with 30 brain-damaged subjects aged 20 to 39 years old. Our work therefore focuses on validation with 30 brain-damaged subjects aged from 40 to 59 years old. With our statistical and descriptive analyses, we were able to validate our hypothesis - namely that brain injury has implications for the results of complex language tests which return significantly lower results. We were also able to highlight the importance of a specific validation for the 40-59 years age group for some tests. Our analysis also discusses and comments on experimental methods, the testing and subsequent evaluation of complex language.
