Les facteurs pouvant influencer l’évolution du dessin du bonhomme chez les élèves de maternelle

Abstract : The aim of this study is to find out if factors can explain the evolution of children's drawings of the human figure. To do so, I collected human figure drawings in three groups of children between 3 to 5 years old. I also created a survey for their teachers, in order to know what activities they did linked to the body scheme. I found out that the number of drawn elements is constantly growing. I also noticed that the children change the morphologies of their human figures throughout the year. The children's drawings of the human figure seemed to be consistent with their psychomotor development. Finally, I tried to determine if the improvements of the drawings were induced by different activities. After an analysis, I deduced that both René Baldy's theory about morphological evolution and psychomotor development can explain the evolution of human figure drawings. Furthermore, activities seem to help children to learn the specific vocabulary about body parts. They also help them to have a better representation of themselves. However, I could not determine if the number of activities or their quality had an impact of human figure drawings.
