Abstract : At present where prenatal diagnosis gives the illusion of total control of the pregnancy, the National Institute of Health Watch reveals these figures: in 2011, 20,000 live births carry a birth defect or 2 4% of births. The discovery of a birth defect or disability is a rare event, but which leads to parents deep trauma which caregivers face. The skills of caregivers are questioned by the lack of training of caregivers, the complexity of the support of the couple and the difficulties due to the uncertainty of the prognosis or the limits of knowledge of caregivers, are the difficulties revealed by our results.
