Intérêts de l'utilisation d'albums jeunesse auprès d'enfants porteurs de trisomie 21 en vue d'enrichir leurs compétences lexicales et morphosyntaxiques

Abstract : Children with Down’s syndrome present a language disorder with lexical and morphosyntactic difficulties. Otherwise, some studies have revealed that using the storybooks could improve the oral language. So, we proposed a support about three storybooks, for three children from 8 to 10 years old, with a specific rehabilitation protocol. Results show an improvement of language capacities, and particularly of lexical evocation and morphosyntactic comprehension, but less important in morphosyntactic expression. Moreover, the support may have a positive impact on the narrative and behavioral babilities. We’ll retain from this study that storybook is an adapted way to increase lexical and morphosyntactic abilities of children with Down’s syndrome. These results should be viewed with caution given our small sample.
