Création de matériel de rééducation pour une meilleure attribution du genre grammatical

Abstract : In the French language, the grammatical gender comes in two categories which are the feminine and the masculine. The noun class system has known numerous variations which can make us think that the assigning of grammatical gender remains arbitrary. Around thirty months the French speaking children succeed in producing correctly and effortlessly this grammatical parameter. They set up implicit strategies based on semantic, phonological and morphological indications. The children with an oral speech trouble sometimes associated with a context of bilingualism, or a specific language impairment know recurring even lasting difficulties on morphosyntax. The application of grammatical gender and the respect for the rules of concordance constitute a limit of their verbal productions. However, there are no reeducation aids allowing to become aware of various strategies. A game of Seven families, a game with cards with gramatical endings and a frog race game are conceived within the framework of this report. This equipment offers to patients to multiply and to better display usefull indications to attribute grammatical gender, and also to handle them through games. The experimentation of this material with 5 and half and 13 years old children, in therapy fororal speech difficulty or dysphasia, shows the feasibility of these games. Improvements can be brought, but these tests prove the interest and the motivation aroused by this equipment with the patients and speech therapists.
