Place de l'éducation thérapeutique dans la prise en charge de la sclérose en plaques

Abstract : The goal of this document is to study the different existing patient management measures and especially the importance of Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE) and speech and language therapy in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. To do that, questionnaires and phone interviews to patients and health professionals were conducted. The questionnaire published on social networks resulted in over 500 respondents. Thereafter descriptive and statistics analyses as well as a thematic one revealed some relevant conclusions. They helped to define the role of TPE in patient care and to study how the care pathway recommended by the HAS is implemented. Lastly they allowed to focus on the role and representation of speech and language therapy in the treatment of this pathology.
