Évaluation de l'outil IDIAS en soins primaires, dans trois cabinets de médecine générale en Aquitaine : premiers résultats et étude de faisabilité

Abstract : IDIAS (Information Dialogue Santé) is a software presenting health informations and questionnaire transmitted via a tactile screen. It was placed in 3 general practitioner’s offices in the Aquitaine region (France) and has been used by health care professionals (general practitioners and nurses) as well as patients. IDIAS allows forward detection of patients with risk behaviour and could improve their management, suggesting targeted educational actions. The procedure to use the software IDIAS needs to follow up this method: the patient is initially selected by the health care professional. He‘s asked to complete the IDIAS form and a resume of this form is then confidentially sent by email to the health care professional. With the prior consent of the patient, an appointment can eventually be taken to discuss this resume. Finally, a specified management in order to improve or maintain the patient’s health can be established. We realised a transversal, descriptive, multi centric, exploratory and observational study. We initially started by describing the type of patient profile using IDIAS, the health care professional and patient perspectives on the IDIAS software and finally the evaluation of the feasibility of IDIAS in real life practice in a primary health care system, exploring its differents positionning. IDIAS is a software that could need few improvements, especially on the computing level and on its contents. However, IDIAS is a simple software which is user friendly and quite accessible. It can be adapted according to the consultation office’s activity. IDIAS seems useful according to the health care professionals and patients of this study. It seems to allow a form of patient self-reflection and self-evaluation of his/her current health status, in addition, to identify his/her new coming needs. IDIAS equally allows to target patients’ needs and to implement a tailored plan accordingly, on an individual or collective scale. In the near future, a new improved version of IDIAS, accessible online to the health care professionals should be implemented and developed in other consultation offices and health care centres.
