Intérêts des micro nutriments pour l'immunité des personnes âgées

Abstract : It is now known that trace elements play a determining role in the immune system function. Aging is associated with a progressive decline in the immune system. Furthermore, deficiencies in trace elements lead to deficiencies of the immune system. Most of studies conclude that correction of deficiencies in trace elements by supplementation increase the cellular immune response in the elderly. It leads to decrease of incidence and duration of infection, especially of respiratory infections.
