Conception d'un hydrofoil pour le kitesurf

Abstract : This study tackles the issue of an hydrofoil optimisation for kitesurfing. We use computational fluid dynamics simulations to improve the shape of hydrofoil elements in order to reduce the drag and increase the lift. The aim is to offer a product easier to use for everyone and with interesting speed performance. The wind range should be for around 10-15 knots with few waves at the sea surface. We design and mesh our shapes on SALOME software and compute with open CFD software OpenFOAM.
