Étude des désintégrations radiatives : B^{0} →K^{+}π-γ dans LHCb

Abstract : The object of this training period is to search for new radiative modes looking for the production of orbitally excited mesons in the B^{0} →K^{+}π-γ. The data collected by the LHCb experiment in 2012 are analyzed. An event selection is first set up. The fit of the reconstructed B^{0} mass spectrum indicates that about 24000 B^{0} →K^{+}π-γ events are selected. Residual backgrounds are then subtracted statistically. A preliminary fit of the Kπ two body invariant mass is finally implemented. This fit does not account for the interferences between the different contributions. We find about 15000 events for the K^{*}(892)^{0} contribution and 4000 summing up the modes B^{0} →K^{*}(1410)^{0}γ and B^{0} →K^{*}_{2}(1430)^{0}γ. The outlook of this study is to take into account the interferences, this seems mandatory to really adjust the Kπ mass spectrum in the region of the orbitally excited mesons, as well as the helicity distributions to better separate the mode associated to the vector meson K^{*}(1410)^{0} and the one related to the tensor meson K^{*}_{2}(1430)^{0}.
