Le carnet du lecteur : un outil pour la formation du sujet-lecteur

Abstract : This report is about the subject-reader and the way the teacher can take part in the emergence of the student’s subjectivity in the classroom. While the researches in the literature theories include the reader in the story, the educational specialists drew their inspiration from those studies and suggest a tool: the book’s reader. However, its use remains hazy. This report is about finding what teaching method is the most efficient in order to train the student to become a subject-reader. In a second year of primary school class, I chose to settle three experimental procedures. The teaching methods were different from one another: the first group wrote on its own, the second one had to answer some questions, and the third one was guided by an explicit teaching method. The analysis emphasizes that the students from the first group were not able to experiment all of the subjective activities, that the students from the second group used more subjective activities but that many of them answered the questions without a real commitment. Finally, the students who had an explicit teaching method were more involved and adopted several positions. As a consequence, the student has to be train to become a subject-reader and the explicit teaching method seems to be the most efficient.
