État des lieux, mécanismes et enjeux de la densification urbaine en France. L'approche novatrice de la densification verticale

Abstract : Following urban sprawl experienced by France during the second half of the twentieth century and the advent of sustainable development. The French public policies have tried for the past fifteen years to highlight the densification process to reduce the artificialization of soils and destruction of natural resources. We will detail throughout this paper what are these policies, what are these mechanisms and issues of densification. But also the vertical densification that meets new constraints and as well, new challenges.
