L'évolution de l'attractivité des espaces périurbains franciliens : le renforcement des pôles secondaires ? Le cas de la ville de Méru

Abstract : This study examines the consequence of Parisian metropolis urban sprawl and its new dynamics, which converge to a restructuring of its former monocentric organization to a polycentric pattern. The selected approach relies upon the combination of both quantitative and qualitative analysis, to discuss the recent evolution of outer suburbs spaces, as well as their attractiveness and new forms of appropriation. Therefore, the building of peri-urbain polarities is highlighted through the prism of the inhabitants of these spaces, their practices and social representations, which might contribute to potential avenues for the analysis of Paris metropolitan region’s planning.
