Inhibition de la lactation : étude auprès des patientes sur les différentes alternatives proposées par les maternités, suite aux recommandations de l’Agence Nationale de Sécurité du Médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM) de juillet 2013 concernant la Bromocriptine

Abstract : Objective: To value patient satisfaction who do not wish to breastfeed their newborns, in terms of safety and efficiency, as the alternatives who were offered to them. Identify according to the panel, what is the most effective treatment. Methods: A descriptive, comparative and multicenter study, was conducted among 252 patients who do not wish to breastfeed their newborns, through a questionnaire to the third day after their delivery and by telephone interview between the seventh and tenth day. The study was conducted in six maternity in PACA region from February 2015 to September 2016 Results: Dostinex® is the best treatment in terms of efficiency (83.33%) and tolerance (71.2% at D3) and according to the patients, it is the most satisfying traitment. The Arolac® came in second position but with more frequent undesirable effects. The homeopathic is equivalent to the absence of treatment of inhibition of lactation in terms of efficiency. Conclusion: Dostinex® appears as the most effective treatment according to the panel. However, the efficacy and safety are not the only elements which influence the patient satisfaction to their treatment, the informations received about this subject increase that. The health education is important.
