Les Zones d'Activités Économiques et Commerciales : vecteur et frein du développement des villes moyennes

Abstract : This end-of-studies project deals with the role of economic and commercial activity zones in the French territorial system. It puts into perspective the reasons for the questioning of these urban units and seeks to determine the impact of these areas on the development of medium-sized towns, particularly those suffering from an unstable socio-economic situation. He relies for this on a study of the case of Montlucon in Allier. Finally, action plans are proposed for a better consideration of the activity zones in territorial projects and for the renewal of these spaces, now monofunctional.
