Recherche de résistances quantitatives à deux maladies foliaires chez le blé dur : la septoriose et la rouille brune

Abstract : Durum wheat, Triticum turgidum ssp. durum represents an important and dynamic sector in the world. Two leaf diseases impacting this crop are leaf rust caused by Puccinia triticina and septoria tritici blotch caused by Zymoseptoria tritici. The management of these two diseases is mainly based on fungicide treatments. However, the use of this type of product has become increasingly regulated by the public authorities. That’s why durable resistant varieties continue to be an important issue in the fight against these two diseases. The objective of the work presented in this report is the identification and genetic mapping of QTL resistance to these two diseases in five two-parent durum wheat populations characterized with different levels of resistance. A genotyping on SNP array and phenotyping of each population were performed which allowed QTL detection by linkage analysis. Five QTLs for leaf rust and eight QTL for septoria tritici blotch were highlighted and mapped on a consensus genetic map realized with individual genetic maps of each population. Resistance to both diseases are globally localized in different regions of the consensus map ; there is few or no co-location between the QTL resistance to leaf rust and septoria tritici blotch.
