Modalités d'utilisation de la corticothérapie locale dans le traitement du lichen plan buccal

Abstract : Oral lichen planus is a polymorphic, inflammatory, chronic, autoimmune cutaneous and mucosal disease of unknown aetiology. Spontaneous remission is rarely complete. Today, there is no curative treatment, which makes oral lichen planus treatment a real challenge for clinicians. The main goals of treatment are to improve the patient's quality of life by controlling pain, duration, signs and symptoms. Local corticosteroid therapy is recognized as the first-line therapy for symptomatic oral lichen planus. The choice of this corticotherapy is empirical and depends on the practitioner’s experience. The aim of the work was to take a stock of the different local protocols using cortisone in the treatment of oral lichen planus using data from the literature.
