Analyse des captures accessoires et accidentelles, et perspectives de gestion de la pêcherie palangrière à la légine dans les eaux de Kerguelen et de Crozet

Abstract : The territory of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF) is formed by the Adelie Land, the Scattered islands, the islands of Saint-Paul and Amsterdam, the archipelago of Crozet and the archipelago of Kerguelen, the last three being today classified in National Nature Reserve. The longline toothfish fishery is carried out in the exclusive economic zones (EEZs) of Crozet and Kerguelen. The target species for this fishery is only Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides), however, and despite the introduction of specific conservation measures and incentives, incidental species such as rays are also caught during the activity. The rays concerned are Bathyraja irrasa, Bathyraja eatonii and Bathyraja murrayi in Kerguelen and Amblyraja taaf in Crozet.
