Reprise des activités professionnelles, physiques et sportives après un SCA STE : rôle de la réadaptation cardiaque

Abstract : Materials and Methods: This study fits into the evaluation framework of professional practices concerning systematic referral of young (≤ 65 years-old) and/or in professional activity patients to the referent Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center (Léon Bérard Hospital, Hyères) after STEMI. We included 68 patients who benefit percutaneous coronary intervention for STEMI. Primary assessment criteria were “return to professional activity” and “return to physical activity”. Results : The duration of sick leave was 215.3 days for the RC+ Group (Cardiac Rehabilitation performed) versus 261.3 days for the RC- Group (Cardiac Rehabilitation not performed), (p = 0.35). The duration of physical activity cessation was 251.5 days for the RC+ Group, compared to 42.7 days for the RC- Group. Conclusion: These results support the continued systematic orientation of in-activity patients in cardiac rehabilitation centers after STEMI revascularized in the acute phase. Further studies involving a larger number of patients, ideally multicenter among the various cardiology departments on which the Léon Bérard Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center depends, would be useful to confirm this hypothesis.
