« E-réputation » des médecins généralistes : enquête pilote descriptive sur la fréquence des avis en ligne chez les médecins généralistes d’Isère

Abstract : Online opinions attributed to GPs are the core of their e-reputation. The main goals of study was (1) to determine the frequency of online opinion attributed to identified GPs. The secondary goals were (2) to draw up a list of the contributing factors promoting GPs search engine optimization on Google™, (3) to assess the promoting factors affecting these opinions and (4) factors in link with their final average rating. 1129 GPs were identified from the CNAM directory. ill-listed GPs and those having an exclusive secondary occupation were excluded of the study. Results were as follows: (1) 61% out of 838 indexed GPs had been rated online, at least once. (2) Among 1129 GPs, those who had been practicing for than 10 years (OR > 2 ; p < 0,02), those working in Grenoble’s conurbation (OR = 2,34 ; p = 0,004) and those having a specific secondary occupation (OR = 10,7 ; p = 0,02) were better indexed. (3) GPs who had 20 to 30 years of experience (OR = 2,08 ; p = 0,004) and those practising in Grenoble’s conurbation (OR = 2,16 ; p = 0,002) were more often rated. (4) GPs who had 30 to 40 years of experience are OR = 2,94 (p = 0,006) to have a rating below the median 4.2/5. Conclusions : Online ratings on Google™ are quantitatively important. Contributing factors are geographic and linked with GP’s practice. GP’s global rating in Isère is very satisfying. However, the concept of online opinion continues to upset the manners.
