La photobiomodulation au service de la parodontologie et de l'implantologie

Abstract : Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) involves the application of light energy produced by a laser or a light-emitting diode device to trigger biological effects. The literature reports anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous and analgesic properties about the use of LLLT. However, some clinicians remain skeptical regarding this technology. After defining the LLLT and stating the different physical parameters, we will explain the biological mechanisms involved. Finally, we will describe the potential applications in Periodontology and Implantology through the literature.
