Évaluation du suivi après anesthésie générale chez les enfants et les adolescents à l'Hôpital Saint-André de Bordeaux

Abstract : Early childhood caries is a pathology affecting children under 6 years old. When they are referred to the hospital, they are mainly treated under general anesthesia. A survey was conducted on the pediatric population of the odontology department of the Saint-André Hospital between 2015 and 2018. The main part of the studied patients has low socio-economic backgrounds, born in France, without general pathologies, where the main cause of polycarism is an unbalanced diet. After general anesthesia, a consultation post general anesthesia is fixed. Absenteism is very important and therapeutic follow-up is not respected. Prosthetic care is not performed and cases of caries recovery are reported. The purpose was to propose an improvement of the care of the children and the parents, for wake up consciences.
