Facteurs prédictifs et conséquences obstétricales et néonatales des accouchements inopinés extra-hospitaliers à terme : étude rétrospective réalisée au CHU de Caen du 1er janvier 2012 au 31 décembre 2017

Abstract : Unattended out-of-hospital deliveries account for 0.5% of the total number of birth in France. This type of delivery remains an emergency for the mother and the child because of the accidental nature of the delivery and its significant risk. With the closure of maternity wards, the number of unexpected out-of-hospital deliveries could considerably increase in the years to come. If so, what would be the obstetric and neonatal outcomes? We propose to conduct a retrospective case-control study from 1 january 2012 to 31 december 2017 on 90 deliveries (45 in each group). The case group represents women who have given birth (≥ 37SA) in an out-of-hospital setting and then who have been transported to the University-Affiliated Hospital of Caen. The control group is formed by the closest in hospital delivery in time (occurring after an out-of-hospital delivery). The purpose of this study is to determine whether giving birth outside the hospital maternity ward has repercussions on the health of the mother and her child. Our other objective is to list the predictive factors to allow better prevention. Our study finds more neonatal morbidity and hypothermia in children. The predictive factors put forward were: the multiparity, the absence of professional activity, the no follow-up of pregnancy.
