Abstract : Pregnancy and childbirth change a woman’s body to allow the child to develop and exit the womb naturally. These changes may lead to urinary incontinence, during pregnancy and postpartum. It is essential to be better prepare for childbirth, which is a traumatic marathon for the body. Methods : to survey common methods to prevent urinary incontinence in pregnant women, a questionnaire was sent to physiotherapists, doctors and midwives. The aim is to determine what are the current practices of each profession, both on the prescription and on the practice itself. Results : analysis of the results showed that female health professionals are more receptive to partake in this kind of questionnaire. In total, 61,23% of those surveyed use these techniques to prevent pelvic floor disorders in pregnant women, despite an obviously lack of formal education. Discussion : in sight of the questionnaires’ results, health professionals are aware of the benefits of prevention, but they do not always manage to put in place individual advice, revealing the lack of formal education.
