Quelles préventions adapter pour les pathologies d’épaule des surfeurs occasionnels bretons ?

Abstract : Surfing is a widespread nautical discipline that causes many chronic shoulder injuries such as tendonopathies or labrum lesions. Prevention of these pathologies seems essential because of the explosion of the number of surfers. Method : semi-structured interviews are conducted with instructors from surf schools and physiotherapists in order to highlight the prevention already done by these professionals. The communication’s tools and the principle of professional collaboration are approached in these interviews. Results : few prevention tools actually exist. And they are more a legal obligation than a real public health mission. Discussion : inview of the analysis of the results, the intervention of a physiotherapist in the initial training of the instructor can be a first step towards primary prevention and interdisciplinarity.
