Validation des propriétés psychométriques d’une échelle d’évaluation des qualités relationnelles en consultation maïeutique

Abstract : Objectives – Our objective was to validate a cross-cultural adaptation of the “4-Habits Coding Scheme”. Secondarily, we wanted to describe midwives’ skills to highlight their weak points and strengths. Methods – It was an observational study, conducted at the Hôpital Couples-Enfants in Grenoble, at the Valence’s General Hospital and at the Mutualiste Clinic (Grenoble). We observed and recorded vocally planned prenatal consultations. Our main evaluation criterion combined Cronbach’alpha coefficient, inter-item correlation coefficients and inter-class correlation coefficients. The secondary endpoint were the scores obtained at the scale. Results – We obtained overall scores between 0.2 and 0.8 for the inter-item correlation coefficients and over 0.7 for the inter-class correlation and alpha coefficients. Conclusion – The replicability of our scale is satisfactory with accurate validity and reliability for use for evaluation purposes.
