Material and method: A semi-open questionnaire was sent by email to pediatricians and general practitioners in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Results: On average, physicians gave 2 correct answers out of 4 cases involving identification of a carious lesion. 4.3% knew the age of the patients first dental check. 85.9% recommended at least 2 brushes of teeth per day. 15.2% advised the use of fluorinated toothpaste as soon as the first temporary teeth appear. 80% are not systemic fluoride prescriber in children under 6 months of age. 30.4% identified breastfeeding at nighttime as a cariogenic factor. The majority of practitioners have shown an interest in a update on the topic. Conclusion: General practitioners and paediatricians lack knowledge in oral health.
