Intérêt de l'utilisation des facteurs plaquettaires (PRF) dans les comblements sous-sinusiens : revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Sinus lift is a surgical method of bone regeneration graft that raises the sinus floor and increases the height of the posterior maxillary bone. Sinus lift usually uses xenograft as a filling material. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is obtained from a blood test directly in the office and allows to quickly have a scarring matrix allowing rapid bone regeneration. The use of platelet factors in the sinus lift as filling material alone or in combination with Bio-oss® as a regeneration material has been studied through a systematic review of the littérature Out of 115 potential articles, only 13 articles were selected, including 6 articles of PRF alone, 6 articles with PRF in addition to Bio-oss® and one article comparing PRF alone and allograft These articles study concluded that the use of PRF alone as filling material can't confirm its advantage over other sinus lift techniques due to too few studies with few sample and with a low scientific level. In same way use of PRF combined with a Bio-oss® would not allow a significant time saving of cicatrisation. The low level of scientific evidence in these studies does not justify PRF intake in xenografts.
