Santé environnementale, fertilité, périnatalité : création d’un questionnaire de repérage des comportements à risque pour la reproduction

Abstract : The issue of environmental pollutants and their impact on health, especially on reproduction, is of growing concern: many pathologies could have their origins in environmental exposure since the periconceptional period (Developmental Origins of Health and Adult Disease). In spite of these scientific advances the recommendations of the french High Authority of Health around the preconceptional consultation date from September 2009 and the health professionals lack prevention tools. The objective of this study was to develop a questionnaire on reproductive risk behaviors in environmental. Everyday behaviors, which can lead to reproductive disorders by their exposure to environmental pollutants, were identified during a literature review. The list of risky behaviors was then submitted to the advice of a panel of experts using the Delphi method. Items with a concordance score SC0.9 (strong consensus) were selected for the final tool. The study took place over 5 months, and included 3 rounds. Twenty-five experts were selected. 80% answered each round. This study identified 54 everyday behaviors to avoid in the periconceptional period.Occupational solvent exposure, lack of ventilation and heating of food plastics are among the most at risk behaviors. Risk behaviors were synthesized in the form of a questionnaire to be sent to patients by the primary health care professional. The next job would be to study its implementation.
