A quelles informations médicales les médecins généralistes girondins déclarent-ils avoir accès lors de leurs visites à domicile ? Enquête de pratique auprès d’un échantillon de médecins

Abstract : Introduction: the setting-up of a medical record is generalised when conducted at the office of a General Practioner (GP) but is reduced when performed during house call (HC). The information that these documents contain imply specific care. This study seeks to evaluate the medical information available to the GPs from the Gironde who perform their HC as their means of access. Method: practical study undertook between January and February 2019 through self-administrated questionnaires sent to GPs from the Gironde outside of specific exclusiv exercices, sent by email by CPAM 33. Results: 246 complete answers were analyzed for the principal assessment criterion, namely a participation rate of 15%. They have declared having had access to the following information: 74% to the antecedents, 68% to risk factor, 66% to the allergies and intolerances, 95% to the treatments, 89% to the last biological outcomes, 45% to the vaccination status, 56% to the correspondence. The majority use a paper record that remains at the residency. The use of the same electronic record employed at. the medical office Is associates with high level of exhaustivity: this modus operandi is considered by those who want to change their practices. The presence of more complete information upon consultation is associated with a greater satisfaction and a decrease in the discomfort felt during medical care. No difference of practice was established in relation to the length of the GP’s installation. Conclusion: the GPs from the Gironde are generally satisfied with the information that they dispose of during their HC. The use of a computerized tools would allow increase of the records’ exhaustivity, the satisfaction of doctors and the decrease of the number of errors.
