Intérêt d’une évaluation axée sur les déficits en matière de pragmatique du langage chez des adolescents TDA/H

Abstract : The last 20 years have been characterized by an increasing interest of the scientific community in studying the links between ADHD and pragmatic language : two complex and heterogeneous entities. According to studies on this issue, we have tried to demonstrate that ADHD teenagers of the sample showed language pragmatic deficits. We administered to 17 participants aged between 11 and 14.9 years old, several measures to assess general language abilities with CléA and other more specific measures concerning pragmatic skills (EVALEO 6-15’s pragmatic subtests (Launay, 2018), Children’s Communication Checklist (Bishop, 1998), CléA “jugdment ressources’ variable (Pasquet, 2014)). Our results indicate a pragmatic fragility in ADHD teenagers. They also have phonological and lexical deficits. However, we regret some psychometric weaknesses in the tests measuring pragmatic language as well as the too limited size of our sample. Nevertheless, this study could contribute to the hypothesis of a simultaneous construction of pragmatic, attentional and language abilities, in an epigenetic process, with each abilitie been either a risk or a protection factor for the other, depending on the resources and constraints of each individual.
