Amélioration continue et optimisation des processus de sous-traitance, dans le cadre de la production de médicaments expérimentaux

Abstract : The competitive environment, and the inherent issues in current pharmaceutical development, encourage industrials to resort to outsourcing activities. Although the subcontractor’s service expertise, is a vector of quality, for the principal, subcontracting is not necessarily synonymous of performance. The high complexity of modern molecules, and many development projects, tend to complicate internal processes. In a quest for efficiency, companies are looking for new skills, of continuous improvement, and of change management, to optimize processes that have shown their limits. Thanks to the theory of constraints, the critical chain method contributes to evolve the project management model. The application, through a concrete case, of processes optimization, to an outsourcing of experimental drugs production service, provides a methodology for an improved control of flows, and to meet deadlines.
