Développement d'une nouvelle méthode de contrôle géométrique d'un four rotatif de cimenterie (mesure d’alignement)

Abstract : Fives FCB designs, installs and maintains large mechanical equipment, mainly for cement plants, in more than 40 countries around the globe. The company is also involved in rotary kilns for cement plants. A good geometry of the rotary kiln (altimetric and axial alignment of the supports) is decisive for its good mechanical functioning. The company, subcontracting all of its kiln alignment controls to a surveyor’s office, wants to internalize and control the competence of the measurements and associated treatments. For this, the old measurement method must be simplified so that Fives mechanical supervisors, non-surveyors, can apply this method. The developed method will go from an indirect determination of the kiln axis (measurements on the rollers) to a direct determination (measurement on the tyres). A processing chain is set up for a quick return of the results.
