Apport du bridge cantilever vitrocéramique dans la prise en charge de(s) l'agénésie(s) de(s) l'incisive(s) latérale(s) maxillaire(s)

Abstract : Maxillary lateral incisor agenesis is common in the population and presents the hard challenge of aesthetic and biological integration in terms of prosthetic. While implantology remains a solution of choice in lateral incisor agenesis treatment, it has many medical and surgical contraindications. Furthermore, the balance between benefit, risk and cost seems to shitf towards a new alternative, glass-ceramic cantilever resin-bonded bridge. Recent clinical studies suggest and scientifically validate the use of this treatment. In this work, we will be seeing therapeutic alternatives, resin-bonded bridge history, the various types of ceramics, especially the use of lithium disilicate-enriched glass-ceramics and cantilever resin-bonded bridge’s characteristics: benefits, preparing the abutment tooth and bonding protocol. We will illustrate our work with clinical cases.
