Prise en compte du syndrome métabolique dans les pratiques professionnelles au Centre Hospitalier Alpes-Isère

Abstract : The metabolic syndrome is a global scourge. It is at the origin of serious pathologies that reduce the life expectancy of those who are victims of it. This thesis seeks to study how the metabolic syndrome is managed at the Center Hospitalier Alpes Isère by means of two studies. The first is a single-center, retrospective descriptive study that searches for metabolic syndromes in patients hospitalized between January 01, 2019 and June 30, 2019. It found 80 patients with metabolic syndrome. This study shows that the level of care offered is different between places of hospitalization, both in terms of diet and physical activity. The second study results from a questionnaire distributed to nursing staff at the Center Hospitalier Alpes Isère. It shows that the level of global knowledge on the metabolic syndrome as well as professional practices could be improved. It is therefore shown that the level of prevention, screening and management of the metabolic syndrome could be optimized by human and institutional means.
