L'écopastoralisme est-il une alternative d'entretien durable (économique, social, environnemental) dans nos espaces privés communs ?

Abstract : Further to many movements or laws aimed to change the environmental impact of current green spaces management, methods have evolved considerably. Furthermore, during these last thirty year, the emergence of differentiated management and then ecopastoralism contributed to this movement. This practice has been expanding since several years and has been developing through different actors: municipalities, associations, landscape companies, etc. Landscape companies have mainly position themselves to meet the demand of municipalities which want to develop alternative management technical while respecting the environment as much as possible. Ecopastoralism seeks to the challenges of sustainable development and it is under this axis that the body of the dissertation develops. That is in this context that Dufaÿ Mandre company is interested in this management method and wishes to identify what is possible to achieve according to its customers (involved in shared private spaces) while respecting the foundations of ecopastoralism. To answer this problematic, we wondered about the origin of ecopastoralism and its place in sustainable management systems. Then we contextualized the company, more precisely its division of management green space. A portion of the customers was surveyed to highlight their vision of ecopastoralism. Finally, a theoretical approach on two sites, which the company manages, completes the questioning of the sustainability of ecopastoralism.
