Évaluation de la connaissance du droit de prescription des sages-femmes par les pharmaciens d’officine de la métropole Grenoble-Alpes

Abstract : Objectives: The main objective of this study was to assess the knowledge of pharmacists in the Grenoble Alps metropolitan area about the right of prescription of midwives. Methods: It was an observational, descriptive study conducted by a self-administered survey, sent to pharmacists in the Grenoble-Alps metropolitan area. The collection took place from November 12, 2019 to January 20, 2020. Results: Of the 53 community pharmacists, 44 were women (83%) and the average age was 42.5 years. Pharmacists responded correctly to 96.2% for the prescription of nicotine replacement therapy for pregnant women and 94.3% for the DTcaP vaccination. The nicotine replacement therapy for the entourage received only 43.4% of correct answers and 86.8% for the DTcaP vaccination of the entourage. Only 37.7% of pharmacists answered correctly about the therapies that the midwife could prescribe for medicated abortion. Conclusion: The pharmacists interviewed have uneven knowledge of the prescribing right of midwives. Orthogenic competence and the notion of entourage are the most affected by these misunderstandings.
