Prise en charge des lésions d'érosion des adolescents atteints de troubles du comportement alimentaire

Abstract : Eating disorders are a group of pathologies, with serious physical repercussions. There is a psycho-social origin. These disorders are present in today’s modern societies. When they are associated with purging behavior, specific dental lesions can appear: dental erosions. It is a loss of dental tissue caused by a chemical process without bacterial participation. The dentist then plays a determining role in the detection of these pathologies and the management of their orofacial consequences. The purpose of this systematic review of the literature is to assess the prevalence of early orofacial repercussions of eating disorders, and more particularly in teenagers. After researching in three databases: Pubmed, Cochrane and Scopus and following the PRISMA criteria, 7 publications were selected. The results of this systematic review of the literature show the low level of data concerning the teenage population. Paradoxically, this population requires specific and early care. In order to explore the orofacial consequences of ED in adolescents, a study project intended for the Jean-Abadie care center of the Bordeaux University Hospital specializing in the management of psychiatric pathologies in adolescents is proposed.
