L’utilisation de l’imagerie motrice dans la rééducation des blessés médullaires

Abstract : Motor imagery is the mental rehearsal of movements without overt execution. By activating certain motor areas linked to voluntary motor skills, it plays a role in improving performance. We can therefore perceive the interest of a practice allowing cerebral stimulation even in a context where movement is tiring or even impossible. Its interest and its impact in the field of neurological rehabilitation is more and more studied but little in the spinal cord injury area. The objective of this review is to take stock of the scientific literature to find out whether the use of motor imagery in SCI patients improves their motor and functional performance.
