Comment améliorer la syntaxe par le débat philosophique de cycles 2 et 3 ?

Abstract : Oral fluency is a pedagogical and social issue, but the topic is often neglected in school context. After conducting a study on the specificities of the oral and the obstacles related to its teaching, we designed a teaching sequence based on six sessions. Having different audiences - a rural school and a REP school -, we chose to work on a common subject, the debate in civic education, with as main objectives to learn how to argue and listen to each other. This allowed us to make few comparisons, to identify strengths and weaknesses in each situation and to try to understand why what works with one audience does not necessarily work with the other. The results show students' progress in argumentation and oral language. Thanks to this study, we learned to adapt and to adopt different postures as a teacher.
