Le système Modjaw® un nouvel outil au service de la pédagogie en occlusodontologie pour comprendre les fonctions occlusales

Abstract : The emergence of intra-oral cameras, laboratory scanners, machining machines and many other digital tools is profoundly changing the treatment protocols in the dental office.
A new technology is emerging: the Modjaw® system. It is a digital tool that allows the recording, in real time, of mandibular movements and kinematics and allows their visualizations in 3D. Its primary vocation is to be part of the digital flow in rehabilitation, but the Modjaw® can be a privileged medium for teaching in occlusodontology.
This work describes the use of this new device for the creation of illustration of occlusal functions and directed teaching for students in initial training.
For this, a Modjaw® clinical case bank was built. The functional recordings were made as part of practical work at the Faculty of Dental Surgery of Nice, Université Côte d'Azur.
