La perception de la préparation des broutards par les acteurs de la filière bovin viande

Abstract : The beef cattle sector is subject to a public health issue: the reduction in the use of antibiotics. One of the most critical periods concerns the allotment and fattening of young cattle where respiratory diseases can affect the health status and fattening performance of calves. In order to improve the health of beef calves, a preconditioning of the beef calves in the cow-calf producer is proposed and requires the vaccination of the calves against respiratory diseases, a balanced diet of vitamins and trace elements, an anticipated weaning compared to transport and a habit of buildings. In order to identify the representations, motivations and breaks of the actors of the sector to set up the preconditioning in the farms, a qualitative survey was carried out with 32 actors breeders, employees of producer organizations and livestock traders.
