État des lieux de l’utilisation du dossier médical partagé par les médecins généralistes installés dans l’Hérault

Abstract : The Electronic Health Record or EHR is a promising tool to improve health cares and cost efficiency. To reach his goal, the EHR must be used. This thesis focuses on general practitioners, key elements in primary cares. We restricted the investigation to GP’s working in Hérault. The observational epidemiological study was carried by a quantitative transversal descriptive survey that took place from December 2019 to February 2020. 100 responses were accepted. Unfortunately, the GP’s participating in it weren’t representative of the group studied therefore the results are only informative. 55% of GP’s used the HER. 71% of them use it once a year or they checked it out of curiosity. The remaining 29% used it more often. 45% of GP’s declare that they never connected to the EHR. Doctors over 70 years old and those under 39 use less the EHR than those aged 40-69. The type of exercise and their place of activity have little influence on the results. For 80% of the GP’s, the EHR is an administrative burden. Proposal for improvement: Provide secure and easy access to the DMP by integrating it with the tools used: "Améli-pro" or "Trajectoire". This solution would allow residents to familiarize themselves with this tool. Train doctors to use EHR. Finance GP’s for using EHR in order to reduce health costs and insure better health care.
