Place du corps dans la relation. Étude de l'intéroception et de l'attachement

Abstract : What a subject perceives from his body, can be define as interoception : his learning is partly through first aid. From the relationship to oneself, to the relation to the other, what can be the links, the similarities? We make the hypothesis that the relation to the other and the interoception influence each other, and therefore that there are correlations between the modes of interoception and attachment. The analysis of psycho-affective and neurophysiological development points out that interoception and attachment intervene in the survival of the individual, and are organized on the basis of early models of anticipation, underpinned by relational experiences. The care performed by the figure of attachment provides "sensations", which become "affects": shared experiences and thoughts through the relationship. The subject can then think independently, in the symbolic register that has been proposed to him. Interoception and attachment have similar treatment modalities (autonomic nervous system and oxytocin) although the nature of the information is then 'understood' differently. Thus the consideration of interoceptive informations can be superimposed on the relational informations. We performed a clinical study of young adults in psychiatry and compared their responses to the questionnaires of attachment and interoception. The way in which a subject is attentive to his body is linked to his perception of himself (self-model, depending on the relational modalities). These results lead us to consider the relationship to one's own body of a subject in psychiatry.
