Abstract : The curriculum comes out in 2015 approach discover of the life circle and needs of some animals by way of farm. So, farm has to allow to children to learn by thinking, remembering and reflecting. Many authors have questioned the notion of “learning”. Thus, the definition of learn changed in history. Beginning, learners had “empty head”. Next, definition progressed, learners arrive with conceptions. In this study, we ask if farm allow to students a better knowledge. For this, we compared the experimentation by farm with the documentary study, using the investigation process. We obtained quantitative results by studying student’s conceptions before and after the different sequences. In addition, metacognition allowed us to know student’s thoughts: do they knowhow they learned it ? This led us to say that students have a better knowledge acquisition through observation but also that they are able to transfer knowledge to a similar situation by using reasoning by analogy.
