Lutter contre les stéréotypes de genre : philosophie et littérature en moyenne section

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of philosophical talks and youth literature in the fight against gender stereotypes during preschool. The scientific researches have shown that the construction of gender identity takes place from an early age and that gender inequalities are present in school. This is contrary to the purpose of equality between girls and boys set by the National Education. In order to meet this objective, three philosophical talks were set up with the pupils. Before, they had been able to build their reflection after reading two books of youth literature. The results were obtained by constructing a table before and after the device. The results revealed several positive impacts regarding the fight against gender stereotypes, especially on the theme of colors. On the other hand, limits were found with, for example, clothing. Finally, this study opens up new perspectives, since it calls for more precise, broader measures to achieve deeper changes and to fight gender stereotypes more effectively.
