Le Hezbollah libanais : sa rhétorique de résistance et ses stratégies de survie

Abstract : The Lebanese Hezbollah is a party that has marked and still marks the Lebanese and Arab political scene as a “resistance movement” against Israel that it believes it defeated in 2006. At the outbreak of the conflict in Syria, Hezbollah’s opponents consider that it has transformed itself into “an occupying force”: it has given up its resistance to Israel in favor of defense of the allied Assad regime. The episode of May 7, 2008 and its intervention in Syria make its weapons illegitimate according to many . So we asked to know in what extent its rhetoric of resistance is an end in itself contributing to the survival of the party whose actions and weapons are no longer unanimous.
